Nursing

God is really amazing. I could start each blog out with that sentance about anything but I just want to say nursing rocks. In every shape and form. Besides its awesome health benefits for mom and baby that just would blow your mind and not be able to fit in my little blog~~it is just a dear, sweet gift from the Lord to be able to nurse my baby. It calms me, it calms him. It makes us sleepy so we fall into sweet slumber together..arms wrapped around eachother. It reassures me, it reassures him. He feels happy and secure as he suckles (or sometimes guzzles) his milk and in return makes me feel exactly the same. Some people view nurisng as a pain and I have recieved more then enough critical and disgusted comments about breastfeeding. What a waste of time, I sure couldn't do it...blah blah blah. I think it is sad we have come to a time when breastfeeding is viewed in such a negative light. Nursing my little one feels like the best gift I can give him right now besides prayer. Which by the way, coinside with eachother!! :~) I can also nurse him anywhere I go..doctors office, playgrounds, shopping...its meals on wheels. Of course, it took me time with my second son, Noah to gain confidence in nursing in public but with Elijah Charles' I feel much more at ease and why shouldn't I? My baby needs to eat and so I feed him. I believe it can be as simple as that if we just stopped over analyzing it. Nursing provides a happy tummy, heart, and much much more. The bond created by nursing is like that of a steel beam. It cannot be broken. I fall in love with my nursling each time he latches on and we stare into eachother's eyes and then...everything is allright in the world.
