Motherhood~There is no more demanding work in all the world, no more awe-inspiring job description than raising godly seed. It will challenge all the genius, talent and grace that any human being could possess… It is the highest calling any woman can enter. ~Walter J. Chantry

Simple Womans Daybook: First Entry!

Outside my Window..

It is snowing! There are tiny snow flurries everywhere! The roads are starting to get covered and messy.

I am thinking..

Wondering if tomorrow's homeschooling co-op will be canceled if we get a ton of snow!

All that is on my to do list..

Too many things to list but the things that top it are making the house look better, more presentable and of course, always more packing, sorting, and throwing things away for our move.

I am thankful..

For Christ who holds my future in the palm of His hand.

Also, for my husband who has such an easy going personality. How I wish I could be more like him!

I am wearing..

Blue Jeans and an every day, comfy, longsleeved plum shirt.

I am remembering..

An old friend who is to call me this evening. She just found out she is pregnant. I am remembering how exciting of a time it is to find out your expecting. I am longing for another baby already! ;-)

In the learning room..

We don't have a designanted learning room...yet. Our homeschooling comes out of a box compiled with all of our books and supplys. We can take it to any room we like, which usually is the dining room where our table is filled overflowing!

I am going..

To the library--WOHOO!

I am currently reading..

My Bible. Along with a devotional my husband and I read together nightly by Charles Haddon Spurgon. (A Christmas gift from a good friend who is a brother in the Lord)

I am hoping..

To regain control of the clutter in my house!!

On my mind..

My mind is restless. I am doing emotional sumersaults thinking about moving. I need to get out of the house for awhile!

I am also wondering where my camera's charger is. Grrr.....lol

Noticing that..

My children really are doing well today with playing quietly and keeping themselves occupied. Bless their hearts. They need to be praised and loved on.

From the Kitchen..

Taco Soup! Been craving this for awhile now! It is a favorite for everyone!

Around the house..

You will find a little bit of everything is out. Paper work on the table from my husbands buisness, toys on the floor from many adventures, and paint samples and endless stacks of school papers and projects from the children that have yet to be filed away!

One of my favorite things..

In this season of my life something that is a "favorite" is when the boys are tucked in bed and are sound to sleep and my husband and I get in bed and talk. We can talk for hours just like the days when we dated. For this, I am incredibly thankful for. I love him, he is my best friend. We seldom have quarrals and if we do they are always resolved before we get into bed. With my youngest son being 8 months old he still sleeps in our bed and we both cherish his presence there. We still ooh and ahh at his sweet baby lips and chubby rolls. The way his chest rises and falls in blissful dream land. I love bedtime.
